How does patient finance work for orthodontic treatment?
Finance can make your journey to a straighter smile smoother by spreading the cost of treatment.
Instead of having to pay for your teeth straightening treatment upfront or all in one go, you pay a set amount each month for a fixed period of time.
Do I need to pay a deposit?
No, it’s entirely optional. You can choose to pay one if it suits you, but you’re not obliged or required to do so.
You can decide if you want to pay a deposit at the application stage. If you choose to do so, it could lower the cost of your monthly repayments.
What finance options are available?
Novuna Personal Finance can arrange finance for orthodontic treatments that cost between £500 and £50,000.
You can choose a payment term that suits you to spread the cost of teeth straightening treatment.
Can I get 0% APR finance for orthodontic treatment?*
You can apply for 0% APR* finance, also known as interest free finance for orthodontic treatments that can cost between £500 and £50,000. 0% APR representative is available on repayment terms of up to 36 months. Finance taken at repayment terms of 40, 48 or 60 months is subject to 9.9% APR representative. The repayment term of 36 months for 0% APR representative is only available for applications submitted between 11.03.24 and 11.07.24. After this date finance taken at a repayment term of 36 months and over is subject to 9.9% APR representative.

How do I sign up for patient finance?
After you agree your orthodontic treatment plan with your orthodontist, you’ll have the option to apply for finance through Novuna Personal Finance. If you decide to apply, you just need to share your email address with a member of the reception team and they’ll send you a link to a straightforward application form. If you find out you’re eligible for finance, you can then use it to spread the cost of orthodontic treatment, and achieve your dream smile.
Patient FAQs for closing practices
I have a patient finance agreement, but want to move to an independent practice to finish my course of treatment - how will this work?
If we are unable to complete your treatment with your practice before they close, we will advise you of the options available to you at this time.
I have a patient finance agreement but have not started treatment. If a new practice does not offer patient finance, can I still use my agreement to pay for treatment at the new practice?
If you have a patient finance agreement and you haven’t yet started your treatment plan, please contact your practice for further information.
If a new practice doesn't offer patient finance, can I apply now at the current practice and then take the treatment and finance arrangement with me?
You can only apply for finance at the practice you intend to receive treatment from. If your new practice does not offer patient finance through Novuna Personal Finance, you would not be able to use this payment method.
I'm mid-treatment and have a patient finance agreement. If you can't finish my treatment before the practice closes, what happens?
If you have a patient finance agreement and you are mid-treatment, please contact your practice for further information.
My course of treatment has ended, but I'm still paying my finance agreement – will this be impacted in any way?
If you have completed your treatment, but you are still paying patient finance, your agreement with Novuna Personal Finance continues unchanged.

There may be a charge for such examination or test, payable by you. The clinician will discuss this with you before any such examination or test takes place, which may be done during the same appointment as your free consultation.
2.Children under 18 can be referred for a free NHS assessment, subject to availability of appointments. Private consultations for children are excluded from this offer and will be charged at our standard rate but the charge will be refunded to you in full if the child commences private treatment following the consultation.
