Kelly Hughes

Kelly’s dental career started in 2002, when she trained as a dental nurse. She worked in a range of NHS, private and military practices and then joined the maxillofacial department of a local hospital. After years of nursing, Kelly then focused on orthodontic therapy. She has discovered a passion for conducting audits and training dental nurses. After 16 years in the South West, Kelly and her family have since returned to the North West.

Lisa joined Total Orthodontics in 2003 as a trainee dental nurse. Since then, she has worked mostly in orthodontics, taking a break from work in general practice for a few years in 2005. Lisa returned to our practice in 2009 and, in 2018, she became the private treatment coordinator for the practice. In 2019, Lisa started training to become an orthodontic therapist at the University of Central Lancashire, qualifying in 2020.

Hilpa Amin

Hilpa has been straightening teeth using a variety of orthodontic treatments since 2004. She prides herself on her friendly, down to earth approach.
Hilpa graduated from the University of Manchester in 2000. She worked in general practice alongside various consultants at Manchester Dental Hospital, and in community clinics, before embarking on a career in orthodontics in 2004. Hilpa has her MFDS qualification from both the Royal College of Surgeons in England and Edinburgh and has an MSc in Orthodontics. She has been using a range of teeth straightening treatments, including Invisalign, Damon and lingual appliances, since 2004.
As well as working at Total Orthodontics Stockport, Hilpa works at Total Orthodontics Wigan and at Bupa Dental Care Congleton.

Training and qualifications
Geraint Williams qualified as a general dentist from the University of Sheffield in 2002. After graduating, he worked in a number of jobs in general practice, dental public health and hospitals across Sheffield, Manchester and Liverpool. Geraint spent time travelling across South East Asia before making the move to Australia where he undertook his orthodontic training at the University of Melbourne, winning the Australian Society of Orthodontics Best Case Presentation award and graduating with a DCD in 2012.
Treatments offered
After qualifying as an orthodontist in Australia, Geraint returned to the UK and joined Total Orthodontics in Crewe. He has since been working between both Stockport and Crewe, creating thousands of confident smiles. Geraint offers a variety of teeth straightening solutions, including fixed braces and aligners. He carefully assesses each patient's suitability and works with them to choose the best options for their unique needs.

Becky joined Bupa Dental Care in 2016 as a trainee dental nurse. She was then lead dental nurse and receptionist, before enrolling on the Bupa Dental Care Practice Manager Academy. She joined our team in April 2021.

Our practice is in Edgeley Road, close to Alexandra Park, with free local parking available in the surrounding roads. We’re a 10-minute walk from Stockport train station and we’re close to the number 328 bus – the local Stockport to Edgeley circular bus route.
