Manveer Basati

BDS University of Plymouth 2011, MClinDent, MOrth (RCS Edin) MFDS (RCS Edin), PGCME FHEA

A specialist orthodontist, Manveer also has experience in oral and maxillofacial surgery. He joined our practice in 2020.

Manveer completed his orthodontic speciality training at Eastman Dental Hospital, University College London. Following his general dental training, Manveer completed hospital posts in oral and maxillofacial surgery as well as a paediatric surgical post at Alderhey Children’s Hospital, Liverpool.

Manveer has a keen interest in team development and clinical education and holds a postgraduate certificate in Medical Education. He is a current Fellow of the Higher Education Academy UK and also has a BSc (hons) in Medicinal Chemistry and an MSc in Biochemical Engineering.

Manveer works closely alongside our orthodontic therapists and experienced dental nurses to provide quality patient care.

Adriana Garrasini

BDS European University of Madrid, Spain certificate in Orthodontics MSC, Warwick university certificate in orthodontics.

Adriana Garrasini moved to the Lake District in 2009 to provide essential and cosmetic dentistry to NHS and private patients in West Cumbria. After undertaking further qualifications in Orthodontics, Adriana started working in Cockermouth Total Orthodontics to put her knowledge and skills into practice. This move has allowed Adriana to explore her passion in orthodontics

Katherine Harvey

Katherine started her career as a dental nurse in 1995 and joined our practice in 2005. In 2012, she qualified as an orthodontic therapist and she now supports our orthodontist, Manveer.

Natalie Wilson

Natalie Wilson trained as a trainee dental nurse in one of our Bupa practices and qualified in 2017. She joined the Cockermouth team in 2018 and in 2021 she was promoted to lead receptionist, while continuing to provide care as a dental nurse.

Danielle Walker

Danielle Walker joined us in 2011 and qualified as a dental nurse in 2013. In 2015, she left to pursue dental nursing, returning to Total Orthodontics in 2018. Danielle gained her radiography qualification in November 2023

Tamara Rickerby

Diploma in Dental Nursing Level 3 QCF City & Guilds 2018

Tamara Rickerby qualified as a dental nurse in one of our Bupa Dental Care practices in 2018, and she joined the Cockermouth team in August 2021. Tamara has a qualification in oral health education which she gained in October 2024 and she now runs her own clinic two days per week, liaising with our orthodontist. She gained her orthodontics nursing qualification in September 2025 and her radiography qualification in October 2025, enabling her to support clinicians with taking X-rays and OPGs.

Emma Prescott

NVQ L3 Oral Health Care: Dental Nursing & Independent Assessment City & Guilds 2006

Emma Prescott worked as a dental nurse in private practice after she qualified in 2005. Ready for a new challenge, she joined Total Orthodontics in April 2021 to learn more about orthodontics. Emma passed her radiography qualification in October 2025 and supports the clinicians with taking X-rays and OPGs. She is now working on gaining her oral health education qualification.

Laura Leece qualified as a dental nurse in 2013. She has worked in the industry since 2014 and joined our practice in March 2021. She was promoted to treatment coordinator in December 2023.

Lucy Stephenson

Diploma in Dental Nursing Level 3 QCF City & Guilds 2015

Lucy trained with us as a dental and orthodontic nurse, qualifying in 2015. She worked in the orthodontic department of a local hospital for six months before returning to our practice in 2017. She became our treatment coordinator and lead nurse since 2019 and now works with us as a dental nurse.

Georgia Bell

Georgia qualified as a dental nurse in 2021 at one of our Bupa Dental Care practices. She joined the Cockermouth team in April 2023 and was promoted in October 2023 to lead nurse. Georgia passed her radiography qualification in October 2025 and supports the clinicians with taking X-rays and OPGs. She is now working on gaining her oral health education qualification.

Emma Todhunter

Emma Todhunter joined the Total Orthodontics Cockermouth team in April 2024. She gained her dental nurse qualification in August 2025 and plans to develop her skills further with additional courses to support the practice. Outside of work, Emma loves spending time with her two cats.

Debra joined us in 2009, before becoming a dual-site practice manager at Bupa Dental Care. After an 18-month break, she returned to our practice in 2019.
