Diego Chavesta Rivadeneyra

Diego is a specialist orthodontist who is passionate about teeth straightening.

Diego studied at the Faculty of Dentistry in Madrid, qualifying in 2007. Whilst studying, he worked in his family’s dental practice as an assistant and then as a nurse before qualifying.

Diego went on to pursue his interest in orthodontics and completed a postgraduate qualification at the European Centre of Orthodontics in Leidos. He completed his master’s in Orthodontics in 2010.

Diego moved to Northern Ireland in 2015 and joined the Total Orthodontics team in 2020.

Julie Collins

Julie is a specialist orthodontist who is dedicated to boosting her patients’ confidence.

Julie graduated as a dentist from Queens University Belfast in 1998.

After completing her vocational training in general practice, she returned to hospital dentistry, working as a senior house officer in restorative dentistry, orthodontics and oral and maxillofacial surgery at the Royal Hospital Belfast. During this time, Julie obtained her MFDS qualification from the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland.

She commenced her orthodontic training in Northern Ireland in November 2002, achieving her MOrth qualification from the Royal College of Surgeons and Physicians in Glasgow, 2006. She also achieved a master’s degree in philosophy from Queens University in the same year.

Julie then spent two years in Australia, working as a specialist orthodontist in private practice. She returned home in 2008 and has worked in specialist practice ever since.

Keith Farrell

Keith has been a dentist for over 20 years and has specialised in orthodontics since 2011.

Keith graduated with his dental degree from Sheffield University in 2000. He then worked as an associate in general practice until attaining his MOrth qualification in 2011. After gaining his specialist title, Keith took up a position as specialist registrar in Cardiff.

Katharine is an orthodontic therapist at our practice. Passionate and dedicated, she has a professional approach to all aspects of her role.

Katharine entered dentistry as a dental nurse in 2007 and was quickly promoted to lead orthodontic nurse. In 2019, Katharine qualified as an orthodontic therapist, before joining the Total Orthodontics team in 2020.

Sharon achieved her dental nursing qualification in 2012 and joined the practice the same year. She has since achieved a qualification in radiography and completed her diploma in Orthodontic Therapy in 2018. A great communicator and very friendly, Sharon is an asset to our team.

Joanne started with us as a trainee dental nurse in 2015, before achieving her qualifications in dental nursing, radiography and orthodontic therapy within three years. She is a dedicated and friendly member of our team.

Nicole Ogilby

Nicole joined the team in 2015 and has been our lead dental nurse since 2019.

After achieving her nursing qualification in 2017, Nicole completed her radiography qualification the following year. She is now our lead dental nurse and enjoys working with the rest of the team to provide a great service for our patients.

After completing work experience in a dental practice, Lois knew she wanted to pursue a career in dentistry. Her desire to learn saw Lois achieve her dental nursing qualification within two years.

Rhonda oversees the day-to-day running of both our practice and Total Orthodontics Downpatrick.

Rhonda has 23 years’ experience in the dental industry. Beginning as a dental nurse in general practice before going into orthodontics in 2012, her strong work ethic saw her progress to practice manager in 2018.

Rhonda’s experience, along with her friendly and professional manner, has made her an invaluable asset to the practice since joining in 2019.
