Alison worked in a specialist orthodontist practice as well as a specialist post in the hospital service for 2 years, after which she spent the last 9 years solely in the hospital service. Alison taught post graduates at the University of Manchester as part of the clinical seminar programme and supervised the clinical work of post graduate dentists enabling them to obtain their memberships in orthodontics. Alison has been placing mini-implant temporary anchorage devices (TADS) since 2005 and is taking part in a National Audit and a research project to ascertain the efficiency of these and more traditional types of anchorage. Alison is also interested in the Damon self-ligating system which she has been using for over 10 years.

After completing his undergraduate degree in Ireland, Hesham spent some time providing dentistry in the Greater Manchester area, as well as spending some time in specialised oral and maxillofacial units in the region. During this time, he completed a Masters in Dental Public Health whilst continuing to learn about other dental specialties.
Hesham went on to complete three years of specialist training along with a Masters degree before qualifying as a Specialist Orthodontist. Since then, he has spent time in primary care and the hospital service, providing care to a diverse group of patients with a wide range of treatment need. While enjoying all of his work, Hesham above all has a passion for delivering high quality care to his patients.
While clinical work takes up the majority of his working time, Hesham continues to be involved in academia, and his work has been published in internationally recognised journals. His current clinical interests are treating patients with Invisalign and clear braces.

Jo started working at Wigan Orthodontic Centre as an orthodontic nurse. Once she qualified she then progressed to senior nurse before training as an orthodontic therapist. Joanne has been a qualified Orthodontic Therapist for four years and currently works in the Total Orthodontics practices in Wigan and Blackburn.

Amy is the newest member of the Team at Dentalign Wigan. She began her career as a Dental Cadet at the Royal Dental Hospital in 2009 before joining the Liverpool Brace Place as an Orthodontic nurse in 2010. Amy progressed to Orthodontic Therapist in 2013, a position she held at the Liverpool Brace Place until she joined the Wigan team in February 2017.

Emma started working for the company in 2010 as a trainee dental nurse when she was 18 years old. She has always been interested in dentistry and felt very privileged to get the opportunity to work in the specialised area of Orthodontics.
Over the years, Emma career has progressed and she has recently qualified as an orthodontic therapist, something she is finding extremely interesting and rewarding. Emma says “I love working with people and find it so rewarding being part of a great team that helps make peoples perfect smiles.” In her spare time, she loves spending time with friends and family.
