Louise Derby

Louise has worked as a specialist orthodontist in various locations across Northern Ireland and the North West of England. She qualified from the University of Manchester in 2003. After vocational training and completing a six-month maxillofacial senior house officer (SHO) rotation at Royal Blackburn Infirmary, she undertook further SHO training at the University of Manchester Dental Hospital.

Here, Louise taught paediatric and adult restorative dentistry to undergraduate dental students for four years. She also provided a paediatric extraction service under both general anaesthesia and inhalation sedation. During this time, she gained her Membership of the Faculty of Dental Surgery and completed her Membership in Orthodontics in 2012, allowing her to enter the GDC’s specialist list. She successfully completed her MSc in Orthodontics in 2013.

Anu Charles Kattakayam

Anu provides both NHS and private orthodontic care. Anu uses a wide range of private braces, including the Invisalign system. Anu has vast experience in dentistry, having held positions at various levels in hospitals and NHS organisations. She has worked as a dental officer with the Wirral Primary Care Trust, working with anxious patients and delivering treatment under sedation. Later, Anu was appointed as a speciality dentist in paediatric dentistry at the University Dental Hospital of Manchester.

Anu has also worked as a clinical assistant in orthodontics at the Royal Albert Edward Infirmary in Wigan, providing orthodontic care to patients alongside the hospital consultant.

Rachael Fletcher

Rachael works with us, as well as at three other Total Orthodontics practices in the area. Rachael originally joined Total Orthodontic Ormskirk as a dental nurse in 2011, later progressing to treatment coordinator.

In 2017, Rachael qualified as an orthodontic therapist with the Royal College of Surgeons at Edinburgh University and joined us at Total Orthodontics Preston.

Stacey Benson

Stacey qualified as a dental nurse in 2010, adding a certificate in dental implant nursing in 2018 and a radiography qualification in 2019. She qualified as an orthodontic therapist and now works between our practice and Total Orthodontics Cockermouth.

Janine has worked in general dentistry and orthodontic practice since leaving school. She joined our practice in 2016 and, as our lead nurse, assists with compliance and delivers quality patient care.
