We are thrilled to be announced as the winner of the Best Customer Service award
at the Sussex Business Awards 2011. It was a huge achievement just to be
shortlisted considering the calibre of the competition, so we were delighted when
Apprentice star Ruth Badger announced us as the overall winner. Now the challenge
will be to defend our title and deliver an even better service to our patients!

The nominations have been announced for the Sussex Business Awards and we have
been shortlisted a second time for the Best Customer Service category! We are
continually striving to improve the service we offer our patients so it's fantastic to have
this recognised. The results are announced in December so watch this space!
This month also saw Sevenoaks receptionist Flori Dickinson win the 'Total Smile Award',
an internal accolade which recognises staff who go the extra mile for colleagues and patients.

We're once again delighted to be shortlisted for a prestigious Private Dentistry Award.
This year we're up for Best Orthodontic Practice, a new category which recognises
the very best orthodontists in the country.
There were further celebrations this month when Head Nurse Tarryn Bethel from our
Horsham practice won a national nursing competition at the British Orthodontic
Conference. It was the second year in a row that a Total Orthodontics employee has
scooped the prize- we're hoping to make it a hat-trick next year!

After a rigorous assessment consisting of interviews with staff we are delighted to
retain our Investors in People accreditation.

We reach the final round of the Private Dentistry Awards after being nominated for Best Marketing, Best Specialist Referral Practice and Best Employer.

Specialist orthodontist Richard Jones is awarded the Special Service Award in honour
of the exceptional service that he has provided to the British Orthodontic Society over
the past 10 years.
Richard is also awarded The President's Cup, which again recognises a member of the
British Orthodontic Society who has gone above and beyond the call of duty. The winner
of this prestigious award is chosen by the president of the BOS.
Nursing Manager Zoë Tickner was also celebrating after winning first prize in a national
nursing competition, after lecturing about the importance of cross infection control to
an auditorium of over 500 people.

Specialist orthodontist John Costello takes home the trophy for the esteemed
'Against the Odds' prize. This award is given to an orthodontist and patient who have
worked together as a team to achieve the most life altering change through orthodontics.

Specialist orthodontist Rachel Bradford is awarded the Maurice Berman prize,
which recognises clinical excellence in the treatment of a multidisciplinary case.
