Tom qualified as a dentist from Guy's Hospital in 1999 with an additional
honours degree in psychology. He then worked in general dental practice
for four years, becoming experienced in all branches of dentistry. In 2003
he took up posts within the oral/maxillofacial surgery and orthodontic
departments at Brighton and Eastbourne hospitals. During his time there
he passed his MFDS exams and was awarded membership of the Royal
College of Surgeons of England.
Tom then decided to pursue his love of orthodontics and returned to
Guy's Hospital in 2005 to specialise in this area. Through his academic,
research and clinical activities he gained an MSc with merit and was
awarded Membership in Orthodontics of the Royal College of Surgeons
of England to become a fully registered specialist orthodontist with the
General Dental Council.
Tom has presented research at international conferences and his work
has also been published in several journals. He also sits on the Orthodontic
Specialist Group committee of the British Orthodontic Society, as well as
several other professional committees.
Tom lives on the beautiful Sussex coast with his wife and baby son and
enjoys skiing, sailing, golf, music, reading and travelling in his spare time
(which has become extremely limited since the happy arrival!)
