David studied dentistry at Guy's Hospital qualifying with honours in 1985.
He then spent several years obtaining a broad postgraduate education in
Maxillofacial Surgery, Oral Medicine, Restorative Dentistry, Children's
Dentistry and Orthodontics. At the end of this time David was awarded the
Fellowship in Dental Surgery from the Royal College of Surgeons of England
in 1991.
David then joined the three year orthodontic postgraduate training
programme at the Eastman Dental Hospital and was awarded a Master
of Science Degree in Orthodontics with Honours from the University of
London and also the European Research Award for his thesis. In 1994 he
was awarded a Membership in Orthodontics from the Royal College of
Surgeons of England and gained the distinction of the Gold Medal for
clinical excellence. David's pre-consultant training then continued at the
Eastman Dental Hospital and Queen Mary's Hospital, Roehampton, where
he gained experience in every form of orthodontic care.
David is a Consultant Orthodontist at Queen Mary's Hospital, Sidcup and
specialises in treating complex orthodontic cases requiring surgery to the
jaws. He is involved in teaching clinical orthodontics to postgraduate
orthodontic trainees as well as research into new methods of orthodontic
care. He has lectured internationally and is a member of The British and
European Orthodontic Societies and World Federation of Orthodontists.
